Komodo doesn't let you know if your mic is recording#357

I recorded my first video and I talked for about 8min. At the end, I went to watch the video and to my surprise there was no sound!!!

So I had to re-do my talk through all over again which is annoying. When I went to start my next recording, I noticed that the Komodo app in my mac (Apple Sillicon) doesn’t really let me test and check that it is indeed properly recording audio.

So I recorded another video, nervous, hoping that it would work this time and I won’t have to talk for 10min straight another 3rd time. This is a bad UX.

The app should let me check the inputs are available and recording before letting me give a 20min speech that has no audio and is worthless.

The recording widget, if activated shows audio mic level. I suggest to have this on so you can confirm audio is recognized.
